Ophthalmology Clinics
The Department of Ophthalmology has three clinical locations in the Jackson Metro Area for subspecialty patient care. Our largest clinic is located at 764 Lakeland Drive (LMB) and houses all of the various aspects of comprehensive and subspecialty eye care all under one roof. The building is located across Lakeland Drive from the UMMC main campus. The facility offers services in the care of diseases of the retina, cornea, glaucoma, ocular plastic surgery, neuro-ophthalmology and comprehensive ophthalmology. A pediatric ophthalmologist is located on the first floor of the building. The separate clinic provides a comfortable and child-friendly space. Full-service contact lens and optical shop needs are met under the direction of our Optometrist located at the Lakeland facility as well.
Our newst clinic location is located at Colony Park North (CPN) in Ridgeland, MS. We continue to see patients at the Grants Ferry Location in Flowood, MS as well.
All three clinics offer the latest in ophthalmic imaging and testing. Ophthalmic laser and minor surgeries are performed at both LMB and the new CPN locations. Major eye surgeries are performed at the University Hospital's Day Surgery Center and in the new UMMC Ambulatory Surgery Facility at CPN.
